Fall Photos

A photographer, I am not, but I still love taking pictures. Especially of my favorite subject, Braden Charles. On a somewhat warm, but foggy weekend in November, I took B out to the park across the street to snap a few pics for our Christmas cards. He is typically not a fan of my photo shoots, but this time he was a real trooper and happily posed in all the crazy spots I picked out for him. Maybe modeling is in his future after all!

I can hardly believe he is almost three years old. Such a big boy and seriously, can kids get any cuter than this?! :)

Happy Halloween!

Well, we've finally reached the age where Brady "gets it". The costumes, the parties, the trick-or-treating and the candy (good Lord, the candy!!) Brady loves him some Halloween. We only had one costume melt down; other than that, he was happy to play his role of Pirate Davey. He even told us about all the booby traps he set around the house, ha! This year, he got to dress up 3 times-- once for school, another time for a party at a friend's house, and finally, for trick-or-treating. He definitely ran that costume into the ground (sorry Kirkpatricks!)

Here are some photos from the 5 day affair that was Halloween this year--

Best Buddies

In case you haven't picked up on this by now, Brady is very blessed to have two "best buddies" (that's what he calls them). Leo, Lyla and Brady do just about everything together. It's been really amazing as a parent to watch my son form such an incredible bond with these two sweet and caring children. Brady's outgoing and makes friends easily, but no one will ever compare to his Leo and his Lyla! It's a good thing that we enjoy spending time with their parents as well :)

Brady has already informed me that he's going to marry Lyla, so I hope Leo is up for a little friendly competition when it comes to Ly's heart!

They "officially" became the Three Musketeers right around Halloween last year, so as a tribute to these best buddies, I thought I would post pictures of some of their times together over the last year... My how they have grown!

Playing Catch Up

Hi everyone, Brady here again. Since my Mom has been sucking at keeping this blog up to date, I've decided to take the reigns and play a little catch up.

The last few months have been very busy, as always. My aunt Amanda came to visit and we all went to Sonoma County, then my Grandma Linda came the next weekend! I started a new school, went camping with my Dad, my buddy Leo and his Dad (Mom came for dinner!), went to a pancake breakfast at a fire station, took a fun trip to San Diego and met my Aunt Sue and Aunt Ana, ran a 10k (ok, I strolled a 10k), and recently, I've been hitting up as many pumpkin patches as I possibly can!

I've been potty "training" for awhile now, but I'm starting to make good progress. I've also been keeping my parents entertained with my new vocabulary (filled with lots of words I shouldn't say) and demands that generally end with a firm "NOW!" My Mom keeps mumbling something about the terrible threes, but she has no idea what I have in store from them. Gotta keep them on their toes!

And in case you were wondering, I am still very much interested in playing guitars and watching rock bands-- preferably live, but also on DVD. Joe Bonomassa is my #1 guy, but I have started listening to more Dave Matthews Band, Stone Temple Pilots and Bruce Springsteen. I love rocking out to "All Along the Watchtower". Mom tried to play a DVD of a "band" called Nsync, but they don't even play any instruments. I think I'll let Dad guide my music selections from now on.

Even though I'm really technically advanced, I don't have the patience to upload all the individual pictures. So here are a few highlights from Sept & Oct. If you want to check out the rest of the albums, click this link. But be warned, my Mom takes a ridiculous number of pictures. But how can you blame her, I'm a pretty cute subject!
